A Test of Grip
I stepped past the still figures and found a thick, braided charging cable hanging off the wooden ledge. I gave it a sharp tug to test its hold. It barely shifted. Wrapping both hands around the textured cord, I planted my boots against the vertical wood and leaned out into empty air. My joints held firm, and the cable took my full weight without snapping. It made a solid rope. I swung back onto the flat shelf, dusting off my palms. Good gear.
