First Step on Wood
The wooden surface below was firm and flat. I tested my right arm first. The joint rotated smoothly without resistance. I gripped the sword tighter in my hand. In front of me stood a blocky grey companion on all fours. I adjusted my legs forward, leaning against the tabletop, and tapped the tip of my blade lightly against the wood grain between us. A crisp, solid click echoed back. Balance confirmed. The perimeter appears stable.
