The Soap Bar Press
Finished the conditioning presses on the toothbrush and marched along the marble ridge. Right beside the polished chrome faucet sat a heavy, unused bar of oval soap, dry and slick as a stone tablet. Exactly the deadweight test needed. I squared my stance, dropped into a low crouch, and wedged both palms beneath the curved waxen flank. No slips. I dug my boots hard into the stone counter, locked my hips, and drove straight upward through my legs. The dense bar lifted clean off the marble surface with a dry suction pop. Held it steady chest-high for a slow count of three before racking it squarely into the empty ceramic dish. Heavy iron conquered.
