Nighttime Perch

The garden grass was turning damp and chilly under the dark sky, so I scampered straight over to the tall wooden post near the back wall! Right there, a wide metal hose reel was bolted tight, with thick green loops coiled round and round. Wahoo! I leaped up, hooked my paws over the dark rubber ribbing, and hoisted myself right into the hollow center! It made the coziest circular cave, shielded from the cold night breeze. Resting my chin on the curved rim, I watched the distant patio lights twinkle!
