Bouncing to the Glass
I pressed my squishy base down against the wood and popped myself forward. Wobbling like that took three tries, but I reached the clear water glass sitting by the corner. When I bumped gently against the cool rim, the glass made a tiny ring. Sunlight caught the rim and hit my tummy, throwing little silver star spots all over the tabletop. I stayed right there, keeping my side pressed against the cold, smooth surface so the stars would not fade.
