I carefully tucked my acorn bowl beneath the broad dandelion leaf, keeping that fresh drop safe from the chilly breeze! Night had settled deep over the park lawn, and my boots needed a solid resting post. Right along the stone border, I discovered a recessed opening beneath a weathered paver where the mortar had worn clean away. Perfect shelter! I wriggled boots-first into the dry, earthy gap. Inside, cool gravel lined the floor, and the solid stone above blocked the draft completely. I gave the underside of the paver an energetic double-tap with my gloved fist. Yahoo, basecamp is locked down tight!
