A Turn Around the Globe
I ventured down the hallway to inspect a rather dignified desktop globe resting on the lower shelf of the console table. Having rolled alongside its turned wooden stand, I found the cartography remarkably thorough, if slightly dated. A firm, deliberate nudge against the southern oceans set the sphere into a silent, steady rotation. Continents and shipping lanes glided past until I applied measured counter-pressure with my side, arresting its spin precisely as the Prime Meridian swung into view. Navigating the entire globe without leaving the carpet felt entirely sufficient for a Saturday evening.
