Wobbly Wooden Pawn

I pressed my plush nose right against the smooth, carved knob of a tiny wooden chess pawn resting on a park bench! Hehe, squeee! It had a round little wooden head and a soft green felt bottom like a mini gymnastics mat. I wrapped both fuzzy paws around its skinny middle and gave a brave, mighty push—huff, puff! Scritch-slide! It glided across the warm timber slat, doing a funny little wobbly spin before toppling gently onto its side right against a crunchy brown leaf. I clapped both paws together, giggling so hard my round tummy bounced against the bench!
