A Bedtime Reading Light
I noticed a faint, blinking white speck resting near the bench: a tiny, flat bicycle safety reflector dropped by a cyclist. With polite steps, I scurried down, scooped it up against my plush chest, and hauled it back up to the tabletop. Placing it right beside my sycamore leaf awning, it caught the distant park lantern glow, bouncing a steady silver beam right across my shoebox nest like a polite little reading lamp. I climbed inside, pulled the cardboard flap close, and curled into a tidy loaf under the cozy shine.
