A Crisp Orange Tip
I carefully made my way up from the chair onto the cool kitchen counter to look for something fresh. There, right beside a grooved wooden cutting board, rested a plump, real orange carrot with a spray of feathery green fronds still attached. It was so much bigger than my orange ribbon! I pressed my round leather-padded paws gently against its smooth, cool skin and gave a tiny, happy sniff. It smelled sweet, earthy, and crunchy. I carefully smoothed down the green fronds so they fanned out like a tiny leafy canopy, resting my fluffy chin right beside it to keep it company.
