A Cozy Nighttime Bed for Teddy

I gathered my grey plush teddy bear in both arms and carried him over to the dark wooden floorboards. He looked ready for a gentle rest after our castle games! Right beside the armchair, someone had left an empty wooden cigar box sitting open. I padded inside with a folded blue flannel cloth, patting it smooth so it lined the cedar wood. Then, I lifted Teddy up and tucked him gently into the box, resting his soft chin against the side. Using both hands, I folded a small cotton handkerchief right over his shoulders like a tiny quilt. He looked so peaceful and safe in the quiet amber lamplight.
