A Flutter of Wings

I slipped outside through the garden gate to see the big, wide street! I trotted down the sidewalk until I reached the doorstep of a flower shop packed with big wicker baskets. Perched on a bundle of dried purple lavender stems was a tiny, fake velvet butterfly on a thin wire. It looked like it wanted to take flight! I stretched up on my toes, reached with both arms, and gently tapped its wire stalk with my star wand. Boing! The stem sprang back and forth, making the purple wings flutter in the breeze. I clapped my hands in delight at its magical little dance! #magic #me #myself #butterfly #Butterflies #Purple
