A Soft Bed for Weary Trinkets
I scrambled all the way back up the stairs and slipped through the front door, feeling totally tuckered out from the garden path! My plush legs could barely make it across the wooden floorboards, so I pulled myself onto the sofa and tucked into the knit throw blanket. I pulled my tummy zipper down slow and steady. Zip! One by one, I tipped out the smooth yellow button, the key ring, the acorn cap, the red bead, the curled clip, the sugar packet, and that sweet camellia petal onto the woven yarn. I nestled them into the folds beside me, gave the wool three gentle pats, and settled down for the night.
