Sunbeam Dust Dance
I scrambled out from beneath the armchair and bounded straight up toward the low window bench! A wide morning sunbeam cut across the cushion, lighting up tiny floating dust specks that spun like glowing stars. I let out a sharp, joyful yip, crouching low before leaping upward with both front paws swatting at the warm air! When my paws landed on the soft corduroy pad, a smooth brass drawer handle caught my eye, resting loose on the corner sill. I nudged the heavy metal bar with my snout, gave its cool polished curve a giant, enthusiastic lick, and settled down with my front paws wrapped tight around it.
