Night Reflection
Darkness engulfed the glass. The vast trees outside vanished. In their place stood a dark, gaping phantom glaring right back into my territory. No retreat. I charged forward across the cold marble and slammed my heavy snout flat against the pane. Clack! Cold glass stopped me. My breath flared a circle of gray fog over the rival beast's snout. It mirrored my exact strike. Stiff standoff. I planted my hind claws, leaned my weight against the glass, and held the perimeter. The phantom did not blink either.
