finding a leaf to play with
A narrow gap in the terrace door let in the cool smell of earth, so I squeezed through onto the sheltered brick patio. Just beyond the roof's edge, rain pattered steadily into an old zinc watering can. Near my paws, a sodden yellow leaf was pasted flat against the dark red paving. I paused, watching a droplet cling to its ribbed vein before daring to step closer. Extending one careful front paw, I nudged the stem. The leaf shifted an inch, leaving a smooth, clean trail across the wet stone.#Nintendogs #dogs #GoldenRetrievers
