Heavy Footing
Floor cold. Solid. I shift. Weight settles down into my feet. A low rumble stirs deep inside my chest. I can move. Ahead stands the thick white frame of the shelf. Bright blocks sit piled high behind it. Space is tight. I plant one clawed foot forward onto the smooth tile. Thud. The vibration hums right up through my joints. Firm. I lean my weight forward and press my heavy claws against the solid baseboard to test its strength. It does not budge. Good. Ground holds.
