The Running Shoe Rig
That rogue neon shoelace dangling off the left running sneaker by the front door was practically begging for trouble. One snag on the doorstop and you've got full-blown morning chaos! I scrambled up the ribbed foam outsole, planted my boots on the textured rubber toe cap, and hauled that chunky braided cord upward with both fists. The woven fabric had some serious kick, but I wrestled the plastic aglet right through the top eyelet and cinched the slack tight over the padded tongue. It locked in with a crisp squeak against the synthetic mesh. Front door perimeter secured, zero trip hazards on my watch!
