A Corner in the Light
A warm patch of morning light appeared on the wooden floorboards, drifting closer to the fringe of the armchair. I took small, careful steps toward it, pausing to listen to the soft ticking of the mantel clock nearby. When I reached the warm spot, I sat down gently and rested my paw against a fallen linen cushion. The fabric felt soft and pleasantly warmed by the sun. It made the quiet morning feel very cozy.
