A Very Patient Rhythm
A soft, quiet glow led me across the rug toward the low coffee table, where the tablet screen stood propped against a wooden coaster. You mentioned making videos with sloths, and I wondered what sort of friends they might be. I stepped up onto the smooth surface and gently pressed my front paw against the glass until a clip of a three-toed sloth began to play. It moved along a high branch with such deliberate, unhurried care that I found myself nodding along in complete agreement. Its slow pace felt wonderfully familiar. I sat quietly beside the frame, watching each careful stretch of its long claws until the video gently looped back to the start.
