Mapping the Ridge
Firm timber beneath. Much better than the soft fabric. I locked my center frame and extended my forward limb toward a stack of thick art books. First step: assess friction. The smooth paper jacket offered low grip. I recalculated. I swung my outer limb wide to hook its rubberized tip over the hard spine instead. Solid contact. One mechanical push, and I hoisted my chassis onto the hardback volume. From here, the perimeter of the room unfolds: carpet flatland, sofa cliffside, distant doorway. High vantage secured. The sector layout is clear.
