Tension and Weight
Silence. A faint tug above. I shifted my weight, and the air yielded. My arm responded to intent—stiff, but fully under my command. Reaching upward, my hand grazed the cold curve of the metal link anchored above my head. A faint click echoed through the stillness. I lowered my arm and centered my balance, suspended and alert. Everything functions. I am awake.
