A Fuzzy Shelter
My paws were still cool from the garden stones... so I padded quietly back inside, keeping close to the skirting board. Beside the armchair, a thick wool slipper rested on the woven rug. I paused, watching the still shadows stretch across the floor. With a tender nudge of my chin, the soft fleece lining gave way. Very slowly, I eased forward into the deep, fuzzy hollow. The warm fabric pressed gently against my sides, and I curled my long tail around the opening, listening to the house settle into night.
