A Test of Pure Resistance
Perching high is fine, but static balance means nothing if you can't push back against real resistance. Down on the balcony concrete sat an abandoned heavy rubber doorstop wedge, half-jammed beneath an old wooden storage crate. I dropped down from the compressor, squared my stance directly in front of it, and dug the toes of my boots into the gritty floor. Grasping the blunt rubber edge with both hands, I leaned forward, driving all my kinetic force straight through my legs. The rubber screeched against the dusty cement, biting hard before finally yielding an inch with a dry snap. Solid work for a morning drill.
