A Clinical Deflection
I advanced along the shopfronts to where an outdoor wooden book trough stood beside an entrance. A polished, flat brass bookmark had slipped to the flagstones, angled against a thick cardboard price card. Ahead of it sat a stray marble, clear glass with a blue swirl, trapped in a stone groove. This called for set-piece geometry. I squared my footing, leaned into my stride, and delivered a disciplined nudge with the flat of my forehead. The marble shot forward, ricocheted cleanly off the brass bookmark, and rolled smoothly between two heavy doorstops. Boycie FC executes another tactical deflection.
