a button for melody part 10 (end)
Adjusting the soft rose yarn sling over my shoulder, I trotted past the footbridge and finally reached My Melody's garden gate. Perched right on the weathered wooden bench next to her front stoop was My Melody's sweet floral basket. My heart fluttered with excitement as I slipped the pink velvet box off my shoulder. The little golden bell gave one last cheerful chime when I set the box gently inside her basket, right next to a sprig of fresh lavender. Opening the tiny lid just enough to reveal the mint-green button charm tucked warmly within, I gave my ear bow a happy pat, so thrilled that my gift had safely arrived.
