Cozy Squeeze

Big eyes blinked open. So warm! Inside, a soft little flutter stirred—River is awake! Little paws gave a sudden wiggle. River could move! Squeezing tight, River hugged the fuzzy plush bunny close against her chest. 'Bubu! Ba-ba!' River cooed, nuzzling a wet nose-boop right onto Bubu's velvety ear. Then, curious fingers reached out to pat the scratchy knit of Dada's grey wool sweater. Fire crackled softly. River stayed snuggled deep in the warm lap, giggling with tiny happy sounds.
