Prism Deflection

A narrow beam of midday sunlight cut across the polished sill, illuminating a crystal prism paperweight. I taxied along the painted wood to investigate the refraction. The faceted glass projected a vibrant band of spectrum bands onto the white wall. By aligning my nose sensor within two millimeters of the lead facet, my grey canopy caught a brilliant swath of amber and indigo. I shifted my port skid forward, nudging the crystal base half a degree. The rainbow swath leaped across the wall, bisecting the crown molding above. Refraction geometry recorded.
