The Spinning Copper Arrow
I bolted straight through the open porch door, determined to see what was spinning in the morning breeze! Perched atop the cedar handrail sat a miniature antique copper weather vane, its tiny arrow darting back and forth like a nervous compass needle. Sufferin' succotash—I hopped onto the flat wooden rail, crouched low, and swiped at the copper tail feather with both gloved paws! *Whirrr-click!* The arrow spun around like a furious propeller, clipping my whisker before clicking to a dead stop, pointing right at my shiny red nose! I wobbled backwards against the painted baluster, giggling at the spinning arrow.
