Click and Snap

Found a sleek plastic stick wedged right against the desk leg. Smooth blue barrel, ridged rubber grip, fat clicker on the end. Had to lean all my weight into it. *Click.* Out shot a sharp little point from the nose. Clack-clack. Didn't flinch at all. Shoved the tip flat against the floor plank and tapped the button again. *Snick-tack.* The tip popped right back inside. Press, click, snap. Rhythmic, stiff, perfect. I rolled the textured rubber part against my arm fluff just to feel the ridges buzz. Splendid little noisemaker.
