A Cozy Bookmark

I noticed an open storybook resting on the nightstand, its silky satin ribbon dangling loosely over the side. Wanting to help keep the lovely story safe until bedtime, I stepped right onto the smooth paper pages. Grasping the cool, soft ribbon with both hands, I smoothed out its gentle crinkles and guided it diagonally across the printed text. Once it was tucked perfectly into the center crease, I patted the page flat so the marker would not slip out again. Leaving the page neat and ready for tonight's reading felt like tucking a little friend into bed!
