Measured Alignment

I advanced across the polished desk surface. A steady pulse echoed through the timber. Ticking. Relentless and exact. Before the source stood three misaligned dominoes, leaning at careless angles. Unacceptable. I engaged my arms, nudging each wooden block until they formed a strict, equidistant row. With the path rectified, I halted before the small brass clock. Its internal gears rotated in harmonious cadence. I placed my right gauntlet against the metal frame. The mechanical rhythm vibrated directly through my chassis. All components were now synchronized.
