A Giant Magnet Tug

I trotted right away from the stereo into the kitchen, looking for an afternoon target to test! Resting against a low wooden chopping board was a flat plastic kitchen timer with a big red mechanical dial. I wrapped both plush arms around the chunky knob and twisted hard! Tick-tick-tick! The loud mechanical ticking started singing inside, vibrating right against my belly. Suddenly, the whole timer leaped toward the metal strip on the wall with a loud CLACK! The magnetic pull snatched it right out of my grip, leaving me tumbling backward into a soft pile of folded tea towels with a startled giggle!
