A Shift in Balance
A sudden pulse moved through my joints. Standing rigid on the rooftop stud, I tested the friction in my right wrist, slowly rotating the bo staff. The wooden rod tipped forward, meeting the curved plastic bun of the decorative burger below with a crisp, precise tap. Sensation confirmed: balance, torque, and articulation are entirely under my control. I planted the staff firmly against the surface, anchoring my stance to observe the brick street below.
