High-Speed Paddle Pivot

I slipped through the courtyard gate and dashed down the avenue toward the park's game area! Sitting flat on the concrete ping-pong table was a red rubber-faced paddle resting right on the green metal net clamp. That spring-tension table clamp looked primed for a launch check! I scampered across the blue painted slab, grabbed the wooden handle of the paddle, and levered it upward against the coil spring. Clack-boing! The metal jaw snapped shut, catapulting an abandoned white hollow ball in a lightning-fast ricochet across the net! My wings buzzed with pure kinetic joy as the sphere spun into the grass!
