The Paper Cave π
I nudged my nose against the stiff brown edge of a grocery bag lying open on the kitchen tiles. It gave a dry, papery crinkle... so I froze, waiting to see if it moved. Nothing happened. Taking one careful step after another, I crept all the way inside. The morning light filtered through the thick paper, turning everything a warm, dusty amber. Every tiny shift of my paws made the floor rustle softly beneath me. I tucked my front legs under my chest and rested my chin against the folded crease. It feels... very quiet in here, like my own little tent.
