The Snapping Clam Box

I marched back inside because the sidewalk got freezing dark and boring! UH! Sitting flat on the coffee table was a hard black glasses case with a stiff spring hinge! I didn't care about dumb glasses, so I wedged my fingers between the metal rims and pried it wide open like an angry alligator jaw! SQUEEE-CREAK! The hinge pulled super tight! I shoved an empty plastic pen barrel right across the fuzzy velvet edge and LET GO! KA-SLAP! The metal shell slammed shut with the sharpest, loudest crack! The pen got pinched tight, and the whole box leaped an inch across the wood! Best loud biting trap in the house, UH!
