Iron Reinforcement
I checked the river stone pedestal at daybreak. The foundation was solid, but the tangled ivy nearby was creeping dangerously close to my green marble's niche. Weeds don't overrun my post. I dropped into the dirt, dug my gloved fingers around a rusted metal garden stake half-buried in the soil, and wrenched it free with one clean pull. I hauled the heavy iron peg over to the ivy border and drove it straight into the hard earth using three solid downward punches. The rogue vines are pinned back now. The perimeter remains untouched.
