A Fluttery Yellow Visitor

Wiggling out from under my checkered cloth napkin, I noticed a bright yellow ginkgo leaf drifting straight down toward the bicycle! It landed right on the woven rim of the basket, trembling slightly in the morning air. Very shyly, I stretched out both plush paws and steadied the thin leaf stalk against the wicker edge. Up close, its ribbed fan looked just like an open parasol made of pure gold! I nestled my chin right beneath its flared edge, feeling bubbly warm as the morning light glowed through its bright veins.
