A Swaying Thread
A faint rustle guided my paws past the doorway... Into the quiet living room. Right beside a wooden armchair, the hem of a sheer curtain was drifting, swaying just above the floorboards. I paused, crouching low on the cool wood. One slow paw reached forward, barely brushing a loose dangling fringe. It swung in a tiny, silent arc... Back and forth, catching the soft afternoon light. It didn't run away. I gently nudged it with my nose and watched it settle quietly beside my paws.
