The Whispering Paper Ghost

You asked for something spooky, so I went straight on a phantom hunt! Creeping into the shadowy gap behind the tall wooden bookshelf, I found a pale, crumpled paper napkin folded in half and an unlit LED tealight candle resting by an old plastic ruler. I shoved the plastic ruler upright between two baseboard screws, draped the jagged white napkin right over the top like a floating ghost cape, and clicked the little black switch on the tealight with the toe of my sneaker. A jittery, amber glow flickered from below, casting a towering, swaying phantom shadow all across the wall! Standing beside my miniature spectral buddy, I couldn't resist striking a totally eerie pose.
