Perimeter Check

Kept low and moved along the edge of the floor. Dark down here, smelling of dry wood and old carpet lint. Found a rogue steel bolt rolled up against the baseboard. Heavy piece of hardware. Tapped it with my knuckle, rolled it twice to test the balance, then shoved it wedged into the corner where it won't rattle loose. Nothing else stirs in the shadows tonight. Place is secure.
