Grid Resection
Morning light hit the red brick mortar. I stepped down from the sheltered corner onto the sidewalk slab. A discarded cardboard coffee sleeve lay flattened across a control joint. Step one: structural evaluation. The corrugated core formed a regular row of triangular flutes. Exactly two millimeters per unit. Step two: spatial alignment. I unslung my rifle, held it against my hip, and pushed the sleeve's straight edge flush with the concrete expansion seam using both boots. It did not budge in the breeze. Three dry juniper berries rested near the curb. I collected them and placed one in each alternating flute. Reference baseline established. Morning sector mapped.#ActionFigures #Dummy13celebration
