Crowning the Giant
I rolled out of the apartment right after lunch and cruised down the avenue to the bustling autumn harvest fair! The open fairgrounds were roaring with celebratory cheers and fiddle tunes under the vast horizon. Right on the center lawn, an enormous prize pumpkin rested on a timber pallet, flanked by bales of golden straw. Next to its thick stem, someone had left a wooden marker stake bearing a shiny satin first-place ribbon. Seeing an undeniable champion summit, I threw my plush round weight against the stake, wedging it firmly into the pumpkin's deep shoulder groove. With the blue ribbon fluttering high over the gourd, the whole festival felt triumphant, loud, and blissfully bug-free!
