The Clicking Nozzle
I squeezed past the patio door and trotted straight out onto the warm flagstones! Right beside the garden border lay a heavy green hose nozzle. It had a ribbed selector dial with notched grooves—built for twisting! I planted both front paws down, braced my chest, and drove my square snout straight into the outer ring. Stiff? Absolutely! Backing off? Never! I dug all four paws in, shoved with all my weight, and—*click!* The dial jumped to the next notch with a crisp, rattling snap! I grunted, leaned in harder, and pushed again—*snap, clack, pop!* That solid plastic click echoed across the whole patio!
