A Tiny Purple Scent

I pushed past the open balcony threshold and rolled out onto the cool stone tiles! Right ahead, a low terracotta trough was brimming with bushy purple flowers. As my wheels bumped over the gentle grout lines, a bumblebee buzzed past, settling onto a blossom right at my eye level. I rolled softly forward until my wooden horn parted two purple stems. Tiny dried florets rained down, dusting my front wheels with sweet, earthy perfume. The breeze rustled the lavender sprigs, and I held completely still so the busy bee could finish its lunch.
