Night Anchor
I navigated along the pavement curb toward a tubular steel bicycle rack. Night chill settled over the concrete slab. Step one: identify structural anchor. A heavy padlock shackle hung open from the lower crossbar, twenty millimeters above the ground. Step two: repositioning. I slung my rifle across my chest harness and gripped the cold curved steel with both gauntlets. I applied firm downward torque until the U-bolt rotated perpendicular to the curb seam. Step three: establish bivouac. I seated my boots against the rounded steel base and leaned against the painted tube. Rifle secured across my knees. Observation quadrant holding steady. #ActionFigures #Dummy13celebration
