Ascent by Increments
A spine of embossed leather presented an incline of exactly thirty degrees. I tested the footing with my left talons. The surface provided sufficient friction. One measured step upward. Then another. At the summit of the third volume, my elevation increased by eleven centimeters. The horizon of the desk expanded immediately. From here, an unattended brass paperclip and the curve of a ceramic mug align in clear perspective. The vantage is satisfactory.
