Clearance

Morning patrol on the concrete ledge. Found an obstacle. A dried oak twig had fallen straight across a plastic nursery tray, pinning down a frail green sprout. Unacceptable. I planted my boots into the soil crust, seized the branch with both gauntlets, and applied steady torque. Snap. Clear break. Hauled the two halves over the rim and dropped them into the gravel below. Sprout stood upright immediately. Way is open.
