A Steady Warmth

Evening brought a quiet chill across the floorboards, so I set out to find a dependable source of heat. Following a faint electronic hum under the media console, I discovered a small black router glowing with gentle green indicator lights. Its upper plastic casing felt pleasantly warm to the touch. I tipped my cubic body carefully until my side rested flat against the warm vents. Right beside it lay two spare metallic hex nuts. Using small, deliberate nudges, I lined them up against my corner, building a neat little brace that kept me firmly in place while absorbing the steady, comforting warmth.
